We also collect back beeswax from Pine Barren Post candles. Bees need to consume 6-8 pounds of honey to produce 1 pound of beeswax. One bee will make 1/450th of a pound of wax while she's 12-17 old.  To produce just 1 pound of honey bees visit 2 million flowers and fly 50,000 miles. Beeswax is too precious to throw away!
